This week in indie rock and its backlash

Here's an amazing one week stretch of media covering the poles of indie rock reference, from fawning to cynicism, with satire in between. Sound like the heyday of the Matador catalog? No coincidence.

The final one, showing the characteristically wide-eyed DIY inspirationalism of Miranda July is most compelling for the comments section, which proves once again that for every alterna-dad out there selling his story of being a hypenate hipster-normie, there are three anonymous trolls waiting to tear him down for trying to not just be a normie-normie.
